Metchosin Community Hall uses an online booking calendar so you can check availability and submit your request any time of day — no phone tag, no waiting for office hours, no back and forth. Our volunteer team reviews every submission and confirms within ~24 hours. Have a question before booking? Our chat assistant can answer most things instantly.
1. Choose your space
Select the Main Hall Private, or if you don’t mind someone renting the upstairs and sharing the bathroom facilities: Main Hall, the Upstairs Meeting Room, or the Full Facility.
2. Pick your dates
Select your event date. Need time to set up the day before or pack down the morning after? Add those slots too.
3. Submit your request
Complete and submit your booking request. Our booking coordinator will review your request and confirm availability.
4. Complete Your Booking
If your request is approved, we’ll send you a booking package that includes your rental agreement, invoice, and any required forms. Return the signed rental agreement and payment to secure your booking.
5. Booking Confirmed
Booking is confirmed with full payment. If your event requires event liability insurance, a BC Special Event Permit, or other required documentation, please submit them before your event. We’ll let you know exactly what’s required based on your booking.
6. Key Pickup & Enjoy Your Event
We arrange key pickup before your event and you are all set. All that is left is to enjoy the space.

Main Hall
Our iconic barrel-vaulted main hall comfortably seats around 180 guests for a sit-down event beneath warm timber panelling and polished hardwood floors (fire safety maximum of 300 if standing). Perfect for weddings, celebrations, concerts, fundraisers, craft fairs, and community events. Every rental includes tables, 180 chairs, full kitchen access, bar area, foyer, and free on-site parking. You can choose Main Hall or Private Main Hall – where the upstairs is blocked and no one shares your space for full privacy.
Upstairs Meeting Room
A private upstairs meeting room that comfortably seats around 25 people (fire safety maximum of 49), with access to an outdoor deck and natural light. Ideal for workshops, club meetings, business seminars, training sessions, and smaller gatherings. Accessible via inside or outside stairs — bookable independently or alongside the main hall if you choose full facility. Washrooms are available on the main hall floor.
Full Facility
Book both the main hall and upstairs meeting room together for complete use of the facility. Ideal for large events needing overflow space, a dedicated green room for performers, simultaneous programming, or simply the flexibility of having the entire building at your disposal with the additional space up stairs. You can also book the Private Main hall if you need the privacy with no other renters upstairs coming down to use the washrooms. Ideal if you don’t need the extra space but just want the privacy. (Most common)

*Damage & Extreme Cleanup, or Noice complaint fine Deposit: $300.00 (refundable within 30 days if requirements are met)
